Trying something new

My wife and I got married in Vermont almost a year ago.  While there, we fell in love with the idea of eating locally produced food.  It's a very fashionable thing up there, it seems.

So, we're looking at the 100 Mile Diet, and this year for the first time ever, we're going to try to grow some vegetables in our little garden space.  This is where you come in:  I need some tips.  I've never done this, so if you've grown a vegetable garden, tell me what you've grown and some tips on how to grow my own vegetables.  If you have any tips, or if you think I'm wasting my time, let me know in the comments section below.

1 - Why don't you do this on your talk show? That would be very interesting this time of year. I would love to hear about the variety of things to grow. as the economy sucks this would be a way we could all save a few bucks. (Comment this)
