Avenue Q

As I mentioned in my previous post, I went to see "Avenue Q" at Playhouse Square.  I loved it.  My wife loved it.  The play is hilarious, the music was great, and the theater was sold out.

The story is about a young college grad named Princeton, who moves into an apartment building managed by Gary Coleman in a neighborhood where the rents are affordable.  He and his friends from the neighborhood try to find their purpose in life, and try to figure out who they are.  Essentially Sesame Street for adults, "Avenue Q" teaches things that Sesame Street should have taught us, like the fact that the internet is for porn, that it's possible to be downsized before your first day of work, and that we're a little bit racist.  Heck, it even has the best puppet sex scene since Team America.

So, long story long, I give "Avenue Q" 4 stars.

And the damn theme song is still stuck in my head.
