The show must go on...

As the Brady Russell fans and haters must know by now, Brady is no longer with News-Talk 1480 WHBC for whatever reason.  I'm not happy about the change, but we must move on.  Brady was a treat to work with, and it was great to produce his show.  However, I have to focus my energy on The Jim Albright Show (which will also be fun to listen to, by the way).

For every one that has asked, or wants to ask:  yes, I still talk with Brady.  I've visited with him a couple of times this week, and I've emailed him almost every day.  We are friends, and we will continue to be friends through this mess.

I must say that I'm looking forward to working with Jim Albright everyday.  Jim and I are also friends.  We share many common interests, and have the same point of view on many things.  And I will work just as hard on Jim's show as I did on Brady's.  I will also maintain my blog because I still have things I want to say.  I did remove the link to my blog from the whbc homepage last week because I wasn't sure if I was still going to be updating.  But the response I've received on this blog over the past week tells me that I should keep up with it.  Which means I should add the link to my blog to the whbc homepage again, huh?

I ask you to keep listening in the afternoon.  We'll still have fun.  And I'll make sure Brady knows how much you all care about him.

I will be updating this week

Even though the Brady Russell show is sans Brady Russell for the week, we're going to try to stay as normal as possible (whatever that is).

Since Brady won't be updating his blog this week, I'll have to pick up the slac.  So, keep watching.  I promise I'll update my blog at least twice this week.  I'm hoping for a new post every day, but I also have to remember that I intend to update every day when Brady IS here.....

Have you seen the price for gas today?

I couldn't help but notice the price for a gallon of gas shot up over night to near $3.50.  There's a story in the newspaper that suggests that the price of gas will be over $4 by the end of spring.  I'm tired of this nonsense.  The money that I budget for gas isn't getting me as much as it used to.  I think it's time to seriously consider using SARTA.

I'm a fan of mass transit.  It's much more convenient to let someone else do the driving, and I won't be putting as many miles on my car.  I guess it's time to start printing schedules and checking route maps and timetables.
