which is why I walked up to the Board of Elections yesterday and voted an absentee ballot. I guess I just got caught up in the election fever that swept through the Potomac River valley. There was actually a line to vote yesterday, which was a nice change of pace. Usually when I go into the Board of Elections (which is more frequent than even I ever expected), I'm the only one at the counter. But not yesterday. I did go in prepared, though. I downloaded
a form from the Secretary of State's office to apply for an absentee ballot. That way I didn't have to do that at the BOE. I was in and out of there in less than 5 minutes. I suppose I'm so quick because I know how I want to vote before I actually arrive at the polls (unlike most people, it seems).
Whether you vote absentee before March 4, or at your local polling location on March 4, I'd like to say thank you for voting. If you don't vote...then you can shut the hell up for the next 4 years.
