Mike Whoal in studio today

Well, we're putting on a great show today.  Mike Whoal will be in the studio to take your questions.  I'm a little nervous.  I've never met Mike in person, but I've heard stories....

Judging from his commercials and his phone calls, it's very obvious that he's genuinely trying to run for office or he's delusional...either way it'll be entertaining!  Call in and join the conversation from 3 until 7 on News-Talk 1480 WHBC.

If you like what Mike says, or if you think he's just an interesting person that you'd like to be associated with, go to his myspace page and add him as a friend.

While you're on myspace, add us as your friend too:  myspace.com/bradyrussellshow

Thursday's Mind Grape Squeezing

1) I want to thank everyone who supported me on Tuesday.  You have been heard!

2.1) I have an odd sense of humor.  I love irony, puns, word play, dark humour, and British humor.  That's why I love Get Fuzzy and Pearls Before Swine

I thought yesterday's Pearls was very funny.  Chris Schieman did not.  I swear, that guy was born without a funny bone.

2.2) I think it's funny that Brady's right-winger blog links are on the left side of his blog.  I'll chuckle for days about that!  I also think it's funny that his latest blog entry is entirely in italics.  At least it isn't in ALL CAPS.

3) I'm super geeked that today is Thursday, which means my TV won't leave NBC all night.  A new episode of 30 Rock is on tonight, as well as a new episode of The Office.  To show you what kind of a nerd I am, I actually wore a Dunder-Mifflin shirt today.  It's only a half hour long tonight because (cue the drum roll)  an ALL NEW SCRUBS IS ON!!  WOO!!!  It's about time.  This is the last season for Scrubs.  It seems to have lost some of it's momentum last season, but I'm still going to every episode this season.  I've invested to much to get out now.  That and I still like Ted and Dr. Kelso.

WHAT??

If you didn't catch the show yesterday, I ripped on Victor Martinez a little bit for crying in the dugout on national TV at the end of the Boston / Indians game.  Some tribe fans thought that was too much.

So I get an email from Brady this morning:

"...your actions (read: opinions) were over the line...you need to take time off to think about what you did".

Are you freakin' kidding me?!?!

I thought I had a right to express my opinions on the show.  That was my understanding when I became Brady's producer.  But now he changes his mind??

Well, Big Daddy Brady, message received.   Just wait until the union* hears about this!!

* by union, I mean my friends at Buffalo Wild Wings.

A foiling we will go...

So...it's been too long since someone at the radio station has had a prank pulled on them.  I decided that we needed some action around here.  Last night Brady, Chris, Brian Novak, my wife, and I went to town on the office of Hunter, the program director for Mix 94.1 our sister station.

It only took us about an hour to do all of this.

What was his reaction? Well...he wasn't pleased at first...

But he got over that soon, and embraced his new interior design.

I know there will be some sort of payback....but it was worth it.
